Maldives Association of Surgeons (MAS) Third Executive Committee Meeting

The MAS Executive Committee held its third meeting since being elected, chaired by the President and attended by all committee members.

Key Agenda Points Discussed:

1. Administrative Setup:

•Updates on the administrative setup of the association.

•Communication with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts regarding the registration of the new executive committee.

•Progress on activating the association’s bank account.

2. Monthly CME Program:

•Decision to initiate a monthly CME program or discussion forum.

•Plans to involve surgery departments from various hospitals for presentations and discussions.

•The first CME program is scheduled for 20th February 2025, featuring the General Surgery Team from IGMH.

3. Collaboration with Other Associations:

•Establishing communication with regional and local health associations.

•Inviting associations to collaborate on volunteer initiatives.

The meeting concluded with the decision to hold the next executive committee meeting in the first week of February 2025.
