MAS Members Participate in CME on Post-Operative Pain Management
On 6th January 2025, members of the Maldives Association of Surgeons (MAS) actively participated in a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on Post-Operative Pain Management, jointly organized by the Department of Surgery and the Department of Anesthesiology of IGMH and Dharumavantha Hospital.
The session was led by Dr. Asadh Shaheed Mohamed, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Specialist in Pain Management, who delivered a comprehensive and insightful presentation on the significance of effective pain control in post-operative care and its positive impact on patient recovery and overall outcomes.
Surgeons and surgical medical officers from various specialties and sub-specialties attended the event, engaging in a fruitful discussion during the interactive question-and-answer session, where important clinical concerns were addressed by the speaker.
MAS appreciates such collaborative educational initiatives, as they are vital in fostering continuous learning, enhancing surgical practices, and ultimately improving patient care. We look forward to more multidisciplinary academic sessions that contribute to the professional development of our surgical community.
