Maldives Association of Surgeons (MAS) Conducts CME on Mesenteric Ischemia

The Maldives Association of Surgeons (MAS) successfully conducted a Continuous Medical Education (CME) program on February 19, 2025, at Dharumavantha Hospital, 24th Floor, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The February CME session, titled “Mesenteric Ischemia: Unraveling the Enigma of the Silent Killer,” was presented by the Surgery Department team of IGMH/DH. The presentation team included Dr. Fathimath Suha (Medical Officer, Department of Surgery) and Dr. Chishti Tanhar Chaoudry (Consultant in Surgery, Department of Surgery).

The session was attended by MAS members, surgeons from various hospitals in Malé, and international participants. Additionally, MAS members residing abroad joined online, as the CME was conducted in a hybrid format.

Following the presentations, an engaging discussion took place, featuring valuable insights and comments from experienced surgeons. The session concluded with the presentation of appreciation certificates to the speakers, handed over by MAS President, Dr. Abdulla Ubaid.

The CME was followed by a networking dinner, where participants enjoyed a wonderful social gathering, further strengthening professional bonds within the surgical community.
