Maldives Association of Surgeons: 11th Anniversary Celebration & Website Launch

The Maldives Association of Surgeons (MAS) held its annual function to celebrate its 11th anniversary and to officially launch its new website. The event was graced by dignitaries from the healthcare sector, with the Honorable Minister of Health, Mr. Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, attending as the guest of honor.
Program Highlights
1.Opening & Welcome
The function commenced with the recitation of the Quran, followed by a warm welcome from the Vice President of MAS, who presented a comprehensive review of MAS activities over the past decade (2014-2024).
The Vice President highlighted key milestones, focusing on the remarkable achievements of MAS members in advancing surgical care in the Maldives.
2. Website Launch
The new MAS website, designed and developed by Dr Abdulla Ubaid, was officially inaugurated by the guest of honour, Minister Nazim. Following the launch, Dr. Ubaid presented the website to the attendees and shared insights into its development process.
3. Guest of Honor Address
In his speech, Minister Nazim emphasized the vital role of healthcare organizations like MAS in the advancement of surgical services. He praised the website as a valuable tool for spreading surgical knowledge and fostering professional growth.
4. Closing Remarks
MAS Executive Secretary, Dr. Mohamed Waheed, delivered brief concluding remarks, expressing gratitude to all attendees and supporters of MAS.
The function concluded with a celebratory dinner, offering an opportunity for networking and camaraderie among the healthcare professionals present.
